Client Review:

I had a consult with this gentleman about bankruptcy. He was informative and empathetic. Mr. McDaniel listened to my situation and explained the nuts and bolts of the bankruptcy procedure. It was nice to be able to talk with someone who didn't talk down to me and have a skeptical demeanor. The one thing that did surprise me was that when I was waiting to consult with this professional, I saw him try to make a deal for another 'possible' client by calling the creditor's attorney and offering the amount of his fee as payment, instead of taking the case for the money. I really never expected this from an attorney. I guess there are attorneys out there that believe in being fair and really doing what is best for the client...even if it means they may forfeit a house payment. I believe this man is that type of attorney. As a comparison, I had talked with another attorney before speaking with Mr. McDaniel and was treated as though I has walked in with dogsh-t on my shoes and probably wasn't good enough to declare bankruptcy. Thank you, Mr McDaniel. You are a genuine professional. Best of luck to you, always.

Client Review:

The key indicator between one licensed to practice law and a seasoned professional in most any arena is when the most simple concepts and procedures can be expalined to a neophite in a manner that is both informative and applicable. Mr. McDaniel has provided a great deal of releaf in a matter that seems quite daunting. The details are where it counts and Mr. McDaniels has his bases convered from the pre-councelation videos to his interview process. I would recommend him highly.

Client Review:

With our credit card bills mounting, my wife and I were going through agony every month just to make the minimum payments at 20% (or more!) interest; seeing no way out, we made the difficult decision to explore bankruptcy. We found Mr. McDaniel's office on a Google search, and I am ever glad we did! During our initial consultation, we were treated with respect by Joseph and fellow attorney Nina, and could not have been more impressed with their sensitivity and professionalism. Once we decided to go ahead with filing, we worked most closely with Nina and particularly Heidi, who told us exactly what we needed to do and when. Not once were we ever unsure about what had to happen at a particular phase. In addition, Heidi went over our forms with a fine-tooth comb, pointing out some mistakes we'd made, and making sure everything was accurately and completely prepared, which in turn meant that the Trustee could process our case without complications, and we can now get started on the rest of our lives. Bottom line: Bankruptcy is tough enough. Don't make it even more difficult by going it alone, or using a one-size-fits-all bargain outfit. Going to an experienced, top-notch firm like Joseph McDaniel's might be one of the best decisions you'll ever make.

Client Review:

I give the highest of praises to Attorney Joseph McDaniel and his staff. His wisdom, help, kindness, and support will never be forgotten. My case was a rather small bankruptcy. Mr. McDaniel and staff still treated me and my case (that was big to me) as if it was his most important case. He answered all my questions, gave me homework so that I would learn about bankruptcy, and took all my stress and worry away. Attorney McDaniel is a true professional and is the attorney you will want to have in your corner if you ever have financial legal issues. You can tell from the time you meet Mr. McDaniel that he loves what he does and that he cares about people and helping them become financially whole. I am so thankful that I had such a wonderful attorney help me through such a rough time in my life. He will always be the only attorney, I will recommend to others, who are seeking legal help.

Client Review:

When we first considered bankruptcy, we met with Mr. McDaniel, who explained the process thoroughly and put us at ease. Over the next few months as we gathered the information required to file, we spent a great deal of time working with his paralegal, Heidi, who was incredibly prompt and efficient, immediately returning e-mails and thoroughly answering our lengthy and numerous questions. She made sure everything was in order and kept us informed every step of the way. By being so accessible and informative, Mr. McDaniel and his staff made this process as stress-free as possible. He also has some very helpful videos about what to expect during the BK process that you can watch online. I would highly recommend this firm.

Client Review:

Bankruptcy is a very serious and scary thing. With Joseph's expertise and his knowledgeable staff, we were able to make the right decision for our family. We worked very closely with Jospeh and Heidi over the last year to finalize our bankruptcy. Joseph and his team were there every step of the way and really listened to our concerns to make sure everything went smoothly. If you are thinking of filing bankruptcy, Joseph is absolutely without a doubt the attorney you want representing you.

He became my dream come true! Finding a good lawyer in Az is like finding a needle in a haystack. Well, he is my harpoon.

Client Review:

I have had many interviews with lawyers, and have had some that I fired. I finally found Mr. McDaniel, both by intense research and then by recommendation. I immediately fell in love with him. Not because he is charming, compassionate, matter-of-fact, and brilliant, but because he was able to, in a matter of 30 minutes, put all of my fears, anxieties and feelings of hopelessness to rest. When I think about hiring lawyers because I have reached a point when I can no longer handle situations myself, I expect to have one that is able to lead me in exactly the right directions in order to accomplish goals that have been set. He is doing exactly that. I have never felt like I was in such professional, caring and brilliant hands. It is so comforting to have someone handle such a scary task as bankruptcy. He is not cheap, but neither was my previous lawyer (who shall remain nameless), for he was almost as much but provided absolutely no comfort, no assistance, no guidance and certainly no reassurance that everything will go as planned. I am one of those people that NEVER fill out reviews or rate items. But when they asked me to write a review on Mr McDaniel, I jumped at the opportunity. I will scream his name from the mountain-top because there is absolutely No reason for anyone to look anywhere else. He is simply the best out there and worth every penny.

I couldn't have asked for more!

I started the process more than a year before I actually finally filed for my Chapter 7, after a foreclosure and job loss. Mr.McDaniel and his staff were with me every step of the way. My emails and calls were answered promptly and I couldn't have asked for better service in any way! The most difficult part of the entire practice was doing the "homework" prior to my first appointment with Mr.McDaniel! Oh, and one more thing, I'd go in and kiss Heidi, but I don't think she would appreciate it-she is an incredible asset to Mr.McDaniel's practice!

Client Review:

I have been a business owner for most of my adult life and in the past I had always been able to weather the changes in the economy until the perfect storm came together late last year (2010). I realized I had little if any chance to hold on to the business and questioned weather I could keep my home which we worked so hard for but was also underwater. I began to do some research and spoke with several attorneys about our optioins but I always got the feeling I was being pushed off into a generic tank and that there were not too many options until I found Joseph McDaniel. He met with me like the other attorneys but he made me feel like he was truly interested and offered an array of options and possibilities in a bankruptcy scenario. Once I had discussed this with my wife we felt that this firm and Mr. McDaniel was the clear cut choice for our needs and to that end I must sayI have to also praise and thank all of the hard work of Heidi "The bankruptcy angel" Heidi was so precise and diligent in moving our case forward and answered all of my questions, she is wonderful. In addition when it was time for the meeting of the creditors Mr. McDaniel placed us in the hands of a very bright attorney from his office to be there with us. The case was dismissed favorably in a very short time and we now have a new start and we would reccomend Mr. McDaniel and his staff to everyone, he is the best. In a word this is a great package and I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a comperable firm.

I thought I was headed for bankruptcy but Mr McDaniel gave me excellent advice on how to handle my creditor issues and referred me to another attorney to get me through the process. His help with both my personal and business situations was surgically precise. In 30 minutes, he showed me solutions that I have been trying (unsuccessfully!) to address for a year.

Very effective results based on moving target of information.

Client Review:

This lawyer and his team did an exceptional job in dealing with a very irrational creditor, a strong willed client would was insistent about NOT filing bankruptcy and various stakeholders in two different states. The search for an attorney was an interesting journey but based on the information available McDaniel Law offices seemed the perfect fit for me. Starting with Mr McDaniel’s on line information as a guide I was well prepared for my first visit with the relevant information at hand. This guidance saved time, effort, and frustration for me. The creditor was pushing to litigate a debt that should never have been in question or default against me; the logical and financial decision was for me to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. However, working with my accountant to minimize tax impacts, my out of state business attorney, and the attorney for the creditor Mr McDaniel was able to resolve this issue cost effectively. I couldn’t be more pleased with the end results of my interaction and business dealings.

This guy is awesome, and also interesting.

Client Review:

We did not hire this attorney so I can't say how he is in court, but I did see him for a half hour consultation that turned out the be the best half hour of my adult life. Before the consultation, I was e-mailed a basic worksheet to fill out that outlined our basic financial situation. When we came in, all of the staff were very polite, offered us water or coffee and joked with us while we waiting for Mr. McDaniel to be available. He came in right on time and was already well informed about our situation. He didn't fumble or anything. It was a little as if we had already talked to him before. Mr. McDaniel actually advised us not to hire him because he felt that we could resolve our issues without filing for bankruptcy. Then he told us everything we would need to do, who we would need to call, and even what to say to resolve our problems. He was very knowledgeable about papers that we should file, where to go, and everything. By the time we were done meeting with him, we had a very comprehensive plan of what to do and it didn't even cost us a penny. He is obviously knowledgeable and has dealt with many people in our situation. I have confidence that if we had decided to file for bankruptcy that he would have done a great job. I just want to add that Mr. McDaniel has a very pleasant demeanor and a good sense of humor. My favorite thing about the whole meeting was his giant Superman coffee mug.

From walking in the door to walking out it could not have been a more pleasant experience. I was greeted with warmth and compassion. I was looking into filing bankruptcy and Joseph McDaniel was upfront, honest and caring... did I mention hysterical at the same time? His knowledge and experience are vast. He put me quickly at ease and was brutally honest about how he saw my situation. The good and the not so much. However, during our meeting...he told me that I did not need his services...gave me great advise and sent me on my way home. Are you kidding me? An attorney telling me to go and not hire him! I left with a feeling of exhilaration and relief. Do not look elsewhere for honest answers to your questions!

My husband and I have been struggling with the decision of bankruptcy for over a year. Anyone going through that can relate to the stress and the toll it takes on your life. We had already met with an attorney and didn’t feel like we had a lot of options. I was searching for an advocate to help the struggling middle class couple and came across Joseph’s website. The humor he brought to a serious issue actually made me feel better. We made an appointment to meet him and as soon as we sat down, his smile, knowledge, ability to relate to our struggles and to offer solutions was amazing. All I can say is that after spending an hour with him, I am confident that he is the angel we have been looking for…….. Lisa

To whom this should and may concern: fearing there is never any answer to a “fox hole prayer” through Mr. J.C .McDaniel they were heard. Brilliant, animated, seasoned and kind- he gave me the facts from a lifetime of experience in his field. He addressed my unfortunate circumstances that life in this monetary existence brought upon US. Now I feel like a miner with light at the end of the tunnel that the dirt that I own is minerals, memories and golden field almost lost dreams.

Talk about feeling safe and certain that your bankruptcy will happen without any problems- this is it. From the moment I went to his website I knew my worries were over and I did not have to deal with those "mill" attorneys on TV that just want your money. I met Attorney McDaniel in his office and not only did I get advise on the bankruptcy but also how to recover after bankruptcy. His advise is priceless and I got tips on things I never thought to do to get complete. He is awesome guy and zero pressure to sign up. The only mistake you could make in bankruptcy in Phoenix is not to hire him.

Client Review:

I recently found myself in need of a bankruptcy attorney. I met with 3 different attornies including Joseph McDaniel. I found all 3 attornies to be competent but I found a huge difference in the personal care and help that Mr. Mcdaniel was willing to give. The other 2 attornies basically just wanted to fit me into their cookie cutter system. They wanted to give me a stack of paperwork to fill out and basically turn me over to their legal assistants to then process all of the information. I even paid a $500 initial consultation fee to the one attorney and was then unable to get a return call for almost 2 weeks. With Joseph not only was the original consultation free, he even invited me back for a second consultation to go over the questions I had about our first consultation and to answer many more questions that were on my mind. You can truly tell with Joseph that he cares about you as a person and as a client and he will help you to get the best possible results. If you need a truly knowlegeable attorney and don't want to be treated as just another client then I would highly reccomend hiring Joe McDaniel. He helped relieve alot of stress for myself and my wife and is helping to make a hard situation much more bearable.

Mr. McDaniel spent a lot of personal "hand holding/answering questions" time with me in person and via e-mail. I felt my bankruptcy situation was complex in that a failed company, a potential new company, and a co-investor were considerations. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and reassuring! Moreover, his strategic advice was sound and competent. I have experience with many corporate attorneys (contracts, acquisitions, & private placements) and state that his style struck me as the best of any attorney with whom I have dealt. His staff was responsive with respect to documentation that needed to be completed.

Client Review:

I was completely stressed out at the thought of declaring bankruptcy. I read up on it on the internet, I bought a book on Chapter 7 and then I looked for a bankruptcy lawyer on the Arizona Bar Association's website. I was impressed with Joseph McDaniel's background and decided to talk to him first. It's hard enough to be facing bankruptcy, but the decision is even harder to make when anybody who could give you good advice has an interest in where your money goes: your creditors, debt counseling agencies or bankruptcy lawyers. I went in to see Joseph McDaniel for a consultation and he offered me his advice based on 30 years of experience in bankruptcy. It turned out I did not even need to declare bankruptcy. Even though it meant turning away business, he helped me make the best choice for my situation. I walked into his office too stressed to eat or sleep. I left laughing and feeling like the weight of the world was off my shoulders for the first time in months. He gave me great advice on how to deal with my creditors and resolve my situation. If you want to know what your true options are, go see Joseph McDaniel.

Client Review:

I searched the web for a local BK attorney and looked at a lot of websites and profiles. Joseph really stood out online and I was more impressed when I met him. I was accustomed to using a large firm downtown and they recommended a number of attorneys for my current situation. I'm glad I checked each attorney and received some insight in the process. My first conference with Joseph was a short, getting to know each other and my situation meeting. He sought information on my current situation asking some direct questions, giving me an overview of the process and taking my imput. It gave a brief insight into the three options he saw and he would provide more details after he had a chance to review the figures more closely. The biggest thing for me is his confidence. He has been doing this for 30 years! He has literally seen it all. He was a clerk for the bankruptcy court judge. He said whatever happened I would come out better in the end. That means a lot when you are struggling with your business all day every day. No money has changed hands. I have a better feel for my situation and a lot more hope. The next meeting a few weeks later brings more pointed discussion on my current business state. Any litigation? Any threats of litigation? Taxes? Secured debt. Unsecured debt. Homes Autos He gets the complete picture and lays out the possible scenarios so a normal person can understand it. This takes and hour to an hour and a half. When we are finished I ask him how much he would need for a retainer. You are going to like this! He said, "go talk to your creditors some more, explain to them your exact situation and see what you can work out. Tell them you have sought representation but have not retain your BK attorney yet. See what you can do. I don't want anything now. Let's see if I can save you some money." I have been doing what Joseph advised and it's amazing how you can come to terms when the real, timely fact of a BK filing is possible. Be honest but firm and things can be worked out. I'm still working through our business situation but things are looking much better with each passing week. Do you have to ask who I will recommend as a workout specialist? Joseph is witty, sets you at ease and knows all the ends and outs of workouts and bankruptcy. Call him early and get some good advice and RELIEF!

Client Review:

After initial disappointing consultations with two other attorneys and an exhaustive internet search, we made an appointment with Joseph McDaniel for a free consultation. In preparation for the appointment, I also spent considerable "quality time" on his information-rich (and highly entertaining) web site/blog. When it was time for the appointment, I felt very well-informed and prepared. Mr. McDaniel graciously spent plenty of time with us. We gained valuable insight into our legal situation. One of our biggest worries and frustrations after the two other consultations was the feeling that they weren't really listening, and didn't have a grasp of our personal circumstances. After only moments with the brief overview we provided, Mr. McDaniel seemed to have a complete grasp of the situation. Without sugar-coating, he gave us a lot to ponder. But when we're ready to move into the next phase of this difficult journey we know who we'll want as our advocate. Anyone willing to "do the homework" and stay fully engaged in the process should head straight for Joseph McDaniel's web site.

Mr. Mcdaniel met with my wife and I for Bankruptcy. I inquired by email and I got a response the very next day. The email that i received was very informative and it allowed me to do research on all aspects of Bankruptcy. On his blog there were videos that we were able to watch and it explained the legal process in a way that was understandable to the laymen. I would reccomend Mr. McDaniel for mutliple reasons. He has a very easy going demeanor that when he is instructing you it is in such a way that you feel assurred and you are understanding what the process is. He will give you all of your options even if it does not warrant a bankruptcy.

When my husband and I first realized we were going to have to file for bankruptcy, we had so many questions. Keith checked out several bankruptcy attorneys online, but was drawn to Mr. McDaniel's website due to his blog. Keith and I read and re-read the blog, regularly taking our onw notes, before we had even had our first appointment. Once we went in for the consult, Mr. McDaniel quickly erased any fears or misgivings we had about filing for bankrupcty. The knowledge and effortless responses really put us at ease, adn we were actually looking forward to being able to file, and then move on with our lives.

Client Review:

Joseph McDaniel is, in my opinion, the best bankruptcy attorney in Arizona and one of the best in the entire United States. He is caring, patient with stressed-out debtors, and more dependable than any lawyer has a right to be. He'll give your case every chance to succeed, and give it to you straight when those chances are small. Although he'll also keep you in stitches with his wry wit (check out his blog -- where he makes the most complex BK details funny and simple), for me the best thing about him is that he's HONEST. An honest attorney!! What a concept! Joseph McDaniel doesn't come cheap ... the best never do. But you will get value -- and when you're bankrupt, that's really what you need most.

Great Lawyer.

I visited Mr. Joseph this week to determine if bankruptcy may be the right choice or not for me. Let me tell you Mr. Joseph is very polite who listen to every detail and scenario I had. Trust me, my case isn’t simple bankruptcy case. After thirty minutes I was given a superb solution. If you are in desire need of legal representative, then I highly recommend you see Mr. Joseph. You will be referred to alternative attorney if Mr. Joseph lacks legal expertise in certain aspect. Five start attorney.

Client Review:

First off, read his blog! We've learned so much from it that when interviewing a couple other prospective bankruptcy lawyers - one of them had to get a book out to answer our questions (and we already knew the answers!) They all tried to push us into ch.13 because of our high income (and their higher payoffs). Not Joseph - he offered three options to do a ch.7 right off the bat. And it worked out like a charm. He's a pro and it's not even remotely worth the risk to go with someone else.

Client Review:

My husband and I are 67 and 60 years old respectively. We are retired and thought we had done some good financial planning. All was okay with retirement income and supplemental jobs, and then the economy and the stock market fell apart. I lost two jobs due to lack of work, which was our ticket to credit card payoffs and more investments. We thought we could make it work by adding more credit card debt and waiting for the market to start recovering so we could get back on track; didn’t happen. Now bankruptcy was our only way out if we wanted to keep our house and our car and give us an opportunity for a new start. But, how do you find a reputable attorney? One that won’t make you feel like a loser? We started our research by looking at available self-help books on Amazon and low and behold there was a review by Joseph McDaniel and a link to his blog which also listed his credentials. After my husband and I read through his blog we were encouraged, so much so we sent him an email. After a couple of email exchanges we scheduled our first phone call introduction and meeting with him and it was held last Friday. He is amazing!! He is very experienced, smart, professional, patient, a good listener, very detail oriented, and has a way of breaking down the legalities into laymen’s terms so we could understand them. He is not at all what we thought the stereotypical bankruptcy lawyer might be. More importantly he has a sense of humor, which will help to get us through this very stressful time in our lives. We feel very fortunate to have stumbled across his name and feel very confident we will get through this with his incredible representation. Do you need a Bankruptcy Lawyer? If so, Joe’s your guy! Good Luck.

Client Review:

I have worked as a paralegal for the past eighteen years, and know well the value of having the right attorney represent you in any legal proceeding. Finding myself probably needing a bankruptcy attorney, I interviewed several and came away from each uninformed, unimpressed and if possible, more depressed about my situation. And then...I was referred to Joseph McDaniel. Such a refreshing change. An attorney that is both knowledgeable and personable. Joseph actually listened to my tale of woe and then offered advice on my options. Unfortunately, I ultimately had to file a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. By listening to Joseph’s sage advice and following his detailed instructions, I was able to maintain both my sanity and dignity throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Joseph McDaniel to anyone needing a bankruptcy attorney.

Client Review:

Four years ago when I first met Mr. Joseph, I didn’t know what his profession was. When he told me he was a BK attorney I kind of smile and I said to him: “I am glad that my business is doing well and I am not going to need you….” Four years later, here I am…..out of business and deep in dept. Guess who did I call??? Let me say that I am Greek and I have been in the US a little bit over five years now and my English are not perfect. Mr. McDaniel’s has a unique way of explaining things even to an immigrant like my self. He always looked in my eyes and he tried to make sure that I understood all the wording and he insisted to explain everything again in case I didn’t, which trust me there were more than a few times. Another lawyer, friend of mine described Mr. McDaniel’s as the “The Bible of the BK lawyers in Arizona”. After meeting with Mr. McDaniel’s, several times at his office I can say that he is extremely skilled at what he does and he will give you the best guidance he can to get you safe out of your mess. The most genuine and trustworthy person I have ever met. In times like these I needed someone to be extremely smart and knowledgeable to be on my side. A great lawyer, a great man and a great friend; I strongly recommend Mr. McDaniel’s and I encourage you to call him for an appointment.

Joseph McDaniel is so well worth your confidence, trust and peace of mind. Bankruptcy is a tough place to be no matter who you are or what your situation may be. It's a stressful, agonizing, fatiguing process you do not want to do navigate without solid, dependable experienced advice & leadership. My wife & I are so grateful we found Joseph McDaniel & Heidi. They're an awesome team, for without them we would have literally lost everything we owned. No matter what you might be hearing out there during these tough uncertain times, if you believe you may have to file bankruptcy, don't attempt to do it without Joseph & Heidi. Client Review:

Joseph McDaniel is an exceedingly knowledgeable Bankruptcy attorney, as well as (from what I can gather) a phenomenal human being. You would be crazy not to be represented by him. He spent 45 minutes of his time (which I can only imagine is pretty darn near invaluable) explaining Bankruptcy law to us even after determining that he was not the lawyer for us (based on our extremely low income). This was such a generous gesture of kindness, considering that my husband and I are (or, I guess I should say WERE) pretty much wide-eyed, scared, and pretty close to clueless about what to do next regarding our current financial situation. Mr. McDaniel was so helpful and re-assuring... he made us feel empowered where others have not. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have met this man and I hope that you will be smart enough to take that opportunity as well.

Need a bankruptcy lawyer? This is by far, bar none, the nicest man (and lawyer) I have ever met.

We needed a bankruptcy lawyer - I emailed several of them in my search. Joe McDaniel is so very personable and really interested in our situation. He is very knowlegeable and thorough and his assistant Heidi is an angel. They handled our case efficiently and timely and helped us every step of the way. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Bankruptcy is so hurtful and the situation is so complicated - he eased our pain and treated us like a human beings with feelings abd emotions and needs. He is a wonderful addition to the lawyer community and I don't know what we would have done without him. We have a new start.

Client Review:

Joseph McDaniel helped to lift our spirits and gave us encouragement to start again after we lost our construction business and were forced to file both personal and business bankruptcy. We were discouraged and disappointed - and both of us were now unemployed! Joseph counseled and encouraged us that this wasn't the end of the road for us, but merely an unforseen rough patch to get through and move on in our life, which we have done. At every turn along the way, Joseph and his very bright paralegal, Heidi Bell, were helpful, efficient, knowledgeable, available, and patient! The kindness and friendliness of these two professionals helped us greatly as we processed both of our cases. We have been extremely blessed by their advice and friendship. We very highly recommend Joseph McDaniel to anyone who needs legal advice regarding finances or bankruptcy.

His demeanor in meetings is also perfect for diffusing any sort of tension; thus making it easy to get back to business.
